Courses Thématiques is proud to present the 4th edition Le Tour de l’horloge, a road race in the Old port of Montreal

In 2018, Courses Thématiques challenge you again with this event on Sunday April 8th!


Last year, there was more than 1,500 participants and the atmosphere could hardly have been more electric, thanks to entertainment activities, the 15 exhibitors and the photo shoot during the medal ceremony! 


your departure

All departures and arrivals will take place at the Clock Tower’s base.

Walkers are welcome to our event for the 5k and 8k courses. There will be a distinct medal ceremony for the first three men and women of this category.

It is essential to come early, and we suggest that participants be on site at least one hour prior to the start of their race. We also recommend you to get your race kit in advance at Boutique Courir on Friday or Saturday before the event.

RACE KIT PICK-UP IN STORE ON APRIL 6 AND 7
Come to the store with a proof that you are registered on Friday April 6 between 12 pm and 8 pm or on Saturday April 7 between 10 am and 4:30 pm.

RACE KIT PICK-UP IN STORE THE DAY OF THE EVENT ON APRIL 8
Come at the registration table at least one hour before your race starts on Sunday morning. Don’t forget your registration proof.

PICKING SOMEONE ELSE'S RACE KIT

To pick up a race kit for a colleague, a friend or a family member, you have to show his or her proof of registration.

CHANGE YOUR DISTANCE

You must ask to change your bib when you go get your race kit on the Friday or Saturday at the store. You could also do it up to 30 minutes before your race’s departure at the Registration Area. If you wish run a longer distance, for instance going from 5K to 10K, make sure you bring money or check to pay for the difference. If you want to run a shorter distance, you will not be refunded.

TRANSFERRING YOUR ENTRY BIB

You must ask to transfer your bib when you go get your race kit on the Friday or Saturday at the store. You could also do it up to 30 minutes before your race’s departure at the Registration Area. To complete a transfer, we need the full name, city of residence and birthdate of the person you are transferring it to. In addition, we need the consent of the person who is transferring his/her entry, via e-mail or signed letter.

PARKING AND PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Parking spots will be available in the Old Port of Montreal but we highly recommend using public transport to avoid traffic jams and any other inconveniences. The closest metro station is Champs-de-Mars. It is 300 meters away from the event which means a 10-minute walk, perfect to warm you up before your start!

BAGGAGE CHECK
There will be a safe place where you can drop your personal belongings. However, there will be no changing room, so plan ahead!

TOILETS
There will be toilets close to the start and finish lines.

OFFICIAL RACE SHIRT

A shirt will be given to every participant of the 5K and more, except for people who have declined the shirt or have selected the Express Formula.

WATER STATIONS
There will be water stations approximately every 3k and at the start and finish lines.water as well as X1 Pro Circuit Endurance containing electrolytes will be served. The electrolytes in the X1 Pro Circuit drink will allow you to stay hydrated and diminish the risks of muscular cramps and fatigue.


AFTER THE RACE

PARTICIPANTS' MEAL

A delicious full meal will be offered to every runner. The meal is accompanied by pita bread, Liberté yogurt, non-alcoholic cider from Cidrerie Michel Jodoin and a beer from Farnham Ale & Lager Brewery. Please note that you must have your bib in order to receive your meal. You may buy an extra meal for a non-participant at the Registration Area.

AN OFFICIAL EVENT THAT IS SANCTIONED AND TIMED

All races will be electronically timed by SportStats. Furthermore, all Courses Thématiques’ events are sanctioned by the Fédération québécoise d’athlétisme. We also guarantee that the courses are accurate and measured properly.

RESULTS

Results will be available online at www.sportstats.ca in real time and will also be posted on-site the day of the event.

PARTICIPATION MEDALS

Each finisher will receive a medal.

MEDAL, PRIZES AND AWARD CEREMONY

After each race, there will be an Award Ceremony at the podium. Distinct medals and prizes will be given to the first three men and women of every race. The prizes must be collected the day of the event. Forgotten prizes will not be sent by mail.

AGE GROUP MEDALS

Distinct medals will be offered to the 3 fastest men and women of each age group.

  • 0 – 5 years old
  • 6 – 7 years old
  • 8 – 9 years old
  • 10 – 11 years old

3K – 5K – 10K – 15K -  21.1K and 42.2K

  • 19 years old or under
  • 20 – 29 years old

  • 40 – 49 years old
  • 50 – 59 years old
